It’s a challenging time for parents, students, and teachers due to the uncertainties associated with COVID19 and what that means for everyone as kids return to the classroom.
With this return comes added stress, worry, and anxiety for everyone involved.
For parents, getting to know the warning signs is essential, such as the sudden onset of headaches, body aches, bellyaches, nausea, vomiting, or diarrhea. Some kids may exhibit trouble concentrating and focusing, along with problems falling asleep. Younger children may have more outbursts and tantrums, while older kids might be rebellious, agitated, and irritable.
Talking to kids about what’s happening can make a big difference in understanding how they’ll navigate school.
For teachers, this can be an equally difficult time, whether that means going back into the classroom or through continued virtual learning.
